DX Cluster Terminal Window

To open the terminal use Menu–>Window–>DX-Cluster Terminal. The connection can be established automatically by activating option Auto log in. A DX cluster can only be selected when you are not yet connected to it.

To send a command, type the text and press the Enter key.

When you open the terminal window while Auto login is active:

• Connection will be opened to the last used DX cluster.
• You will be logged in either with your callsign or the user name and password, if you have configured them.
• The configured commands will be sent.
• If the connection drops, it will be retried.

At the botom of the window there are eight macro buttons that can be used to send corresponding commands to the cluster. Press Edit to set them up.

In this window you can edit the macros and assign button titles. Placeholders are available. Values are obtained either from the logging fields, or from the last logged QSO:

• <Call>: DX callsign
• <QRG>: Frequency
• <Grid4>: 4-digit grid square
• <Grid6>: 6-digit grid square
• <Manager>:QSL manager

Press a button at the bottom to insert a placeholder into the macro so that you do not need to type it, and to avoid mistakes. To send a command immediately when the button is pressed add <TX> at the end of the macro. Otherwise, the command can be still modified before it is sent.
