RUMlog 3.8.3 - DL7VEE's Most Wanted and new bands

Unread post by DL2RUM »

Due to some further improvements this update is recommended to all users, but it is more interesting for the Europeans. All (central) european users are requested to announce missing (not confirmed) dxcc entities to Rolf, DL7VEE at the end of each year. See http://dl7vee.de/ Starting in 2008, an automatic analysis was created using a special file format. RUMlog can create this special file.

If you are using "Mail":
Go to Menu-->File-->Most Wanted-Mail and the required file (your_call.cfd) will be created and handed over to Mail as attachment. You can add some kindly words to Rolf and send the e-mail away. You can find the sent file in your RUMlog folder for later use.

If you are not using "Mail":
Go to Menu-->File-->Most Wanted-Save only and the required file (your_call.cfd) will be created only. Send the new created file to rolf@dl7vee.de

The same file can be used by DARC members for the DARC DX survey. E-mail the file as attachment to toplist@dxhf.darc.de

Important note:
The above mentioned functions work only with a new modified "dxcc.rsd" database. You can keep you own "dxcc.rsd" database, all other RUMlog functions will work. If you want to participate on the "Most Wanted" and you want to keep your own dxcc database, you can exchange the file "dxcc.rsd" temporally. Quit RUMlog before!

Re: RUMlog 3.8.2 - 60m, 4m and 1.25m band added

Unread post by DL2RUM »

A limited support for the 60m, 4m and 1.25m bands were added. These bands are allowed in few countries only! There is no DXCC tracking provided for these bands.
Please set the band edges to your requirements in the preferences.

Re: RUMlog 3.8.3 - Minor improvements

• ADIF export from the Main Logging Window modified
• Country name added to a dx spot
• Periodically telnet dx-cluster connection check and optional automatic reconnect

Modified ADIF export
During an ADIf export from the Main Logging Window, only the highlighted QSOs will be exported. When you have no QSOs selected, all QSOs in the list will be exported.

Telnet DX Cluster connection check
Sometimes it can happen, when you loose the connection to the cluster, you will not be informed. Now the connection will be checked every 60 seconds. When you have set the 'Auto Connect' option, the connection will be reestablished.

DX Spot modified
Now it looks like this:
