RUMlog 3.7.8 ADIF, LoTW and eQSL bug fixing

Unread post by DL2RUM »

New is the support for some Yaesu transceivers. Currently are on the list: FT-1000MP, FT817 and FT-897. Thanks to Doug, K4DSP; Michael, DG1FBP and Flavio IK3OCD for testing.
A bug is fixed, which one caused that the log table was not sortable by some columns. Thanks to Dan KB6NU.

There were a lot of updates with big improvements in the last time. I guess the leaps will become smaller in the next time, since I don't have any further ideas (yet).

Read the attached What's new??? file (http://dl2rum.de/rumsoft/rumlognews.html) in the RUMlog folder for further information.

Re: RUMlog 3.7 - Now with YAESU support

Unread post by K6LE »

I like the new color scheme. Looks great!

Since you mention you are looking for further ideas (sort of..) here is something I would like some help with if possible.

When I modify my DXCC file to recognize some old calls I don't want to overwrite it with a new file with your changes. Is there a way to "merge" the two files?

As always, thanks for the great work Tom,

Rick

I make only small changes in the DXCC database. It would be the best, you keep and maintain your own database. Just copy your 'old' one into the RUMlog folder and overwrite the new one.

No problem, that's what I have been doing but didn't know if I was missing out on some demon updates!

Re: RUMlog 3.7.1 - With IC-7700 support and minor improvements

Unread post by DL2RUM »

  • • Support for Icom IC-7700 added.
  • • User can preselect now, if distances are shown in kilometers, miles or nautical miles. (Preferences - General tab)
  • • The log table remembers now the sort direction and sort column after restart. This is useful, if you want to have the latest QSO on the top.
  • • Change of your selected Date format will affect now the already logged QSOs. This option was intend to be used, before you start with logging. Changing the date format now, will modify all log entries accordingly. (Preferences - General tab)
Thanks to Gerry, WD5AAM for the suggestions and testing out the 7700.

When I saw the announcement for 3.7.3 I went to RUMlog and checked my current version, now I'm confused!

In About RUMlog it says I have 3.8.

?

Hi Rick,
is it dated 20-Sep-2008, or end of september? I've made an error with counting. I guess the 3.8 was only for a short time downloadable. The 3.8 should read 3.7.

Nevertheless the 3.7.3 is the latest. Please see the attached docs.
