Rotor is a full- featured antenna rotor controller app for macOS. It can control up to 9 rotors. It is capable of automatically tracking stations and satellites with both azimuth and elevation and currently supports following rotor protocols/dialects:
  • SPID (currently Azimuth only)
  • Yaesu (GS-232A, GS-232B)
  • DCU-1
  • EA4TX ARS-USB
  • Sarcnet Mk-1 (EasyComm)

Hi Tom,

The app crashes for me as soon as I try to open either the Satellite or Next Passes windows. Late 2013 iMac, 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1 GB, Catalina 10.15.7.

Really good potential for the program... finally !
Tried it today, beam heading does not display when connected to my Green heron RT-21 control box.
Entering grid square or AZ works find, but no beam heading displays - I only see ? .
Also the compass pointer does not move.

Not sure if I don't have set right but UDP on 255.255.255.0 port 2280 for example does not connect to rotor to see heading of station entered in log.
Where is this set on Rumlog, maybe I have it in the wrong spot.? Under UDP I have set under RUmlog, N1mm and TR4W compatible: App Info (N1mm, Rumlog) host : 255.255.255.0 for 12080

Hope to find errors and use this program with WSJTX / JTDX and CW /SSB !

I have small visual artifact also, so maybe It is the screen draw?

ahh fixed the UDP issue by pointing at the computer ... so the program is talking to Rumlog now, but the pointer and beam headings are still missing...
Seems like some video artifact as well... checked other programs using windows with the Green Heron and all is well as the heading is displayed..

thanks for the support Tom,

I've managed to make it working with the ERC Mini with the G-800DXA.

For other users of the ERC Mini, make sure you calibrate the ERC Mini interface and double check the Calibration-data axis the following parameters:
ADC-Data: should have values different from zero. As shown in the picture.

I confirm the Rotor application works with this setup.

Using Rotor on a MBP with MacLoggerDX, WSJT-X, a homebuilt Arduino based GS-232A controller. Working really well. Thanks for a great implementation of a badly needed product!
