I have RumlogNG 3.8.1 installed on Mac OS High Sierra. I find that it frequently and seemingly randomly loses many of the settings I've entered. For instance, I frequently have to reenter the following prefs:
- Callsign, name and grids quare on the 'General' tab
- LoTW path and .tsql folder on the 'LoTW/eQSL' tab
Right now, those tabs are blank, as if I've never entered any values, though I've done it several times. I can find no way to reliably reproduce this problem.
3.81 randomly losing preferences
Re: 3.81 randomly losing preferences
This is a known problem and seems to be a macOS issue. Which version of mac OS do you use?
When you can*t see your entered preferences, just quit RUMlog and restart it. All data should reappear. Please confirm.

Re: 3.81 randomly losing preferences
Thomas, thank you for responding about this. I am using 10.13.1.
At your suggestion, I closed the app and reopened it. The preferences to seem to reappear, and now it appears I can replicate this:

- Open the app.
Verify the preferences are set.
Change any preference (I typed over my LoTW login) then click Close.
Open preferences again and they will be missing.
Close the app, reopen and they're back.
Re: 3.81 randomly losing preferences
I can't duplicate the bug. I know, few others have the same problem, others not.
You should upgrade to 10.13.2. Also you should try version 3.9, which is available in the app store soon. This fix another crazy issue where very few users were affected. Seemed to be a problem in Xcode.
