Help setting up spotting
Help setting up spotting
Wondering if someone could point me to a tutorial on how to setup up so I can see dx spots without having to keep a webpage open to dxsummit all the time? I've tried to figure it out, but have not been successful. I'm 100% sure its all user error.

Re: Help setting up spotting
I had found that and didn't see where I messed up.
I'm getting no input on my spot window, and terminal comes up with:
Attempt to connect to host timed out
*** Disconnected from dxsummit ***
Like I said, I'm sure its user error but I don't know where.
I have never setup this type of stuff before.

Re: Help setting up spotting
you should show us your settings in the Preferences below the DX-Cluster tab. It seems to be a wrong cluster address. Do you have tried DB0SUE? This configuration is always in and correct.

Re: Help setting up spotting
Ok, It seems that I got nc7j and kiel to work, but its not showing much for spots.
What do you enter to get a website like dxsummit to show up in your spot window?

Re: Help setting up spotting
When there are not much spots in the spot window, but there are spots in the terminal, check your spot filter settings ion the Preferences under the DX-Cluster tab.
RUMlog uses telnet clusters only, no web sites.

Ok, will do.
I expected more spots to show up. I really appreciate your patience.
I love the log program!
