TCP CAT Control for Icom 7700, 7800, etc.

Unread post by wr5g »

Has anyone been able to use the TCP CAT control on an Icom Network enabled transceiver? I have tried and tried on my new IC-7851 and I have not had any luck.

I guess that know one has tried to gather TCP Band Data from an Icom Radio? Maybe I don't understand what that option is really used for. The radio states that port 50002 is used for serial data, but maybe that is used for a different interface.

I 've checked the documentation, but I haven't found any information about simple CAT control. It can be used for a remote control using ICOM software, but I don't know if the protocol is is same.
