Good Day.
I am running RumLog 5.3.7 under MacOS X 10.9. I am trying to control my FT-1000MP Mk V from the software via a USB to RS-232c cable type TU-S9 from TrendNet. This cable uses the Prolific chipset and has the latest driver installed. I am unable to get the system talking. There is nothing from the radio being displayed on the program and there is no CAT indicator activity on the 1000.
looping back RxD to TxD with a jumper on the cable I see characters echoed back from within ZTerm which shows that the cable itself is working, however, that doesn't mean that the speed, or start/stop bits are being set correctly.
I have been able to use the same adapter cable to control the radio from a Windoze program so the rig's interface and cabling is all OK.
Wondering if others have seen similar and overcome the problem or ???

What are your serial settings?
Make sure you use 4800 baud, 8 data bits and 2 stop bits with no parity. As far as I have seen, flow control is not used.

GM Tom.
Those are the serial port settings that I have selected in RumLog's Preferences panel.
