What RTTY Program?

Unread post by N1JM »

I use CM with Rumped and my K3. What are others using? Is FLDGI any better?

Thanks and 73, John N1JM

Fledgi probably has the advantage of being under constant development and covers more modes.

However, I use CCM mostly because I can have waterfalls from both my K3's VFO A and B. It's great to be able to see the DX station on one waterfall and click around in the pile-up on the second waterfall.

I suppose you could do the same thing with two instances of Fldigi running (different versions) but it would consume a lot of screen real-estate.

Thanks, Rick. CCM seems to integrate very nicely with RUmlog or Rumped. Haven't used FLDIGI hardly at all to know if it demodulates better then CCM.

I have run them both together and I don't think CCM gives up much if anything in demodulating to Fldigi.

What I have done, just to try to make sure I don't miss anything, is to run CCM with RUMlog for the FSK-D capabilities of the K3 and also run Fldigi on my other screen as a back up. Don't notice that it helps much if at all though.
