Read All only reads one bank in Linux

Unread post by kc7dx »

In RUMtrol7000 V.2.1 11-Sep-2007 Linux version (read from the About screen... although I think it is more recent than that), Selecting TRCVR -> Read All from TRX only reads the currently selected bank plus setup. I did not check write all yet.

That's right! Only the current selected bank will be read and written as well. In Icom's CI-V protocol only the memory number is provided, there is no information included about the used bank.
There should be a solution possible, but I decided to keep the things simple.

The released MAC version seem to read all banks. This is the version that doesn't have cvs import yet. The Linux version seems to only read the current bank. This is the experimental version that has cvs import and your changes for opening the serial ports.

Right, the latest none Beta (none RT) Mac version reads all banks. But after that I changed completely the algorithm to communicate with the radio. This version is still available on the web server, but the so called 'Beta' is more useful. I have to update the web site.
