When you are operating from different DXCC entities, you can't use the same logbook file.

In this case, you must install a new logfile fer the secand call.

Hi Rolf,

If i understand correct, you mean i have to run a second copy of Rumlog. Running seperatly from the other one?

An other question, can I add a new mode, FT8?

Hanz, you can't run multiple instances of RUMlog. You have to create a new Logbook file. See the Logbook menu.

Sorry to keep asking questions.
Is it possible to change the directory of the log files.
I have got two at the moment, never thought of having two and i want to place them on e specific place, also got to do with auto backup.
I tried several things l;ike crerating an empty log and copy the old one over it etc.. but taht doens't work.
Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for your patience.

  • Quit RUMlog
  • Move the used file wherever you want
  • Restart RUMlog
  • Use the Menu-->Logbook-->Open Logbook to navigate to your file
The last step isn't required, when you use RUMlogNG, due to the Sandbox structure.

Thanks thanks.
I know what went wrong here.
The main logging window wasn't openend and then open logbook is greyed out.
When the main log window is opened then open logbook is black and i can select the log file where ever i like.

I will not bother you again :-)
Have a nice weekend and thanks for the quick responses.
