LoTW new servers

Unread post by K3DCW »

It looks like RUMlog is still using the old P1K.ARRL.ORG server to download LoTW confirmations. This server has been shutdown (or is being shutdown) and RUMlog needs to be updated to point at the new servers. Here is the info from ARRL:

LoTW is using a new server
If you are getting this message: "The ARRL Logbook of the World server is temporarily not accessible" chances are you are logging into LoTW through an old connection.
Be sure you are using the correct URL: https://LoTW.arrl.org/lotwuser/default
If your logging software is using the old URL please configure the program with the new URL provided.
These server settings are the same for all users.

LoTW upload URL: https://LoTW.arrl.org/lotwuser/upload?login=

LoTW download URL: https://LoTW.arrl.org/lotwuser/lotwreport.adi?login=

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Where is this information from and how old is it?

RUMlog dosen't use the web form for upload. It uses e-mail or tqsl itself for uploading the signed files.

For the download currently I use "https://p1k.arrl.org/lotwuser/lotwreport.adi". No problems so far. For years ago I used "https://lotw.arrl.org/lotwuser/lotwreport.adi", but some day it was not working any longer and I changed.

It seems I have to change back again. No problem, it comes with the next update.

It is from the current LoTW page: www.arrl.org/lotw and is relatively new.

It looks like they switched the server back to the old one for whatever reason. I've seen issues with other programs on Windows (like HRD) and know that they've had to switch as well. There are no problems with upload when using TQSL, but when I tried to download this morning, it gave me the warning screen.

Lately I have also experienced extended delays as well as the message indicating that LOTW is temporarily unavailable. I hope this info helps.

LoTW has had few problems in the last days, even using the new address.
But see here: http://dl2rum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f= ... 2352#p2352

Yes, they've been up and down (mostly down) all weekend, but thanks for the update. That will likely save you from an "urgent" update when they turn off the PK1 servers later.
