Log Behavior

Unread post by KJ6RGX »

Trying to figure out why some of my log entries show "-" in the QSL field. The only thing I can find common is they are all 20m contacts, but not all 20m contacts show the same status. So why are these QSO's missing that field? Other than all being 20m I can find no other clues.

Do you have entered these QSOs manually?
Do you have imported these QSOs via ADIF?

In the ADIF Import Window is an option, how to handle the outgoing QSL status. It seems you have set an option to send QSLs for new ones only.

I just did a 20m QSO import, I noticed that it said, "When DXCC not paper cfm" and I changed it to "Never" before I did the adif file import. The QSL field still showed "-". Only happens on 20m contacts, all other bands show "W".

That's correct. When status is - no QSL will be sent.

Just did another import, left the import at "When DXCC not paper cfm" and it still shows a "-" for QSL. Going to try another band, but I don't get why this only happens on 20m??

Maybe you have all the dxcc entities already confirmed on 20m?

Just did a 10m adif log import with "When DXCC not paper cfm" and I noticed that after the QSO was imported the box above showed something like "W not confirmed..." I didn't write down the exact message. I do not get any message after doing an import of a 20m contact. I can assure you that I have NOT confirmed all dxcc entities on any band.

So, either I have managed to set something in Rumlog to make it not check 20m contacts, or, Rumlog thinks I have confirmed all 20m dxcc entities. Is there a setting in Rumlog that would cause what I am experiencing?

W not confirmed...
This means, you have USA not confined on 10m yet. That's why a QSL will be sent.

What do you want to do after an import? When you want to send a QSL to all stations, just select "Always"
