Additional functionality

Unread post by g0vgs »

Hi Tom,
I have often though that the one thing most logging software misses is the ability to deal properly with nets (round table). The way I think about it is as an additional window which allows you to add callsigns as they join and to log them as they leave the net. It should also be possible to temporarily log a callsign out (perhaps to grey it out if a net member has to take a call or whatever) but to be able to log it back in so that the net control can keep a list of who is active. The ability to reorder the list would also be extremely useful.

I don't know if this is possible but it would be something I have not seen as yet in logging software :)

Here a first try, use Menu-->Window-->Net Control
NetControl.tiff
NetControl.tiff (30.86 KiB) Viewed 3783 times
NetControl.tiff

Some hints:
  • Enter call and a note separated by a space into the input field
  • All fields are inline editable for corrections
  • Click in the header to sort the list
  • Reorder the list using drag and drop
  • Double click a row to take over callsign and name into the logging mask

Excellent! Nice work Tom.

I would find that useful as well! :-)

Tom that is fantastic! Thank you so much for a very rapid response :) I will report back when I have played with it more but it looks exactly how I imagined!
