QRG vs. Band

Unread postby DO1NGO » Tue 15. May 2012, 19:56

I'm mostly active portable with paper and pen, entering the QSOs later when I get home. I usually don't write down the exact QRG while in the field, just the band. When I enter the QSO into RUMLog, I have to make up a "fake" QRG inside that particular band to have it log the right band. Is this the proper way to use the program or is there a possibility to change that to something like "band only"?

What you are doing, is the best way. I would enter the lower band edge. 1800, 3500, 7000, 10100, ...

Thanks, Tom. I chose the lower end of the mode I was using, e.g. 21151 for 15m SSB but I guess the general idea is the same ;-)
