RUMped 2.0 Beta 16 with Yaesu Support

Unread post by DL2RUM »

RUMped 2 has a great new feature: Using the 'ContestMaker' you can define your own contests to make RUMped more flexible. These contest definitions are made as a plugin type for easy distribution. Using this tool a wide range of contests becomes available for RUMped.

Please note, it's still Beta! That means it may not work correct. As you can believe, there are a lot of combination of contest rules, which it makes it impossible to test it all. BTW, your logged QSOs should be always safe.
Please feel free to report any failure .

Other requested features will be added in 2.0, stay tuned.

Re: RUMped 2.0 Beta 7 with VHF contest !!!!

Tom, Just saw the Beta version, and the Contest Maker is GREAT!..
I need to get the hang of making what I want and check this out more from home.
I'm at work and was pointed here by some friends..
KUDOS!..
And Many Thanks!..
The last Contest I'd lost the log as CocoaModem didn't output into a Cabrillo
so I'd retype the log or try and get it from the XML, this is my answer now. I
did use RUMped in the Russian WW RTTY contest, and again forgot what I was missing,
This is great..

Thanks for the nice words Jeff. When you was successful in the contest, I would ask you if it is possible to share the contest definition file? It's still Beta, but I have not got much response.
I thing, it it is a good idea to collect and share the tested files here, maybe in a separate thread or forum.

Tom, You are running in LEAPS-N-Bounds.. Seems you been busy. I have been in touch with Dick and he's running during the day,
So I might get home after the office here and know what to look at. THANKS!.. Great work on the CQ WW RTTY Exchange also, Sorry I didn't drop a note sooner but just been busy here. Hope we can get a bunch of contests all set and going over a little time here and make this a easy thing for everyone.
Thanks again, Jeff-N8NOE

Re: RUMped 2.0 Beta 11 with smaller changes

Unread post by DL2RUM »

I 've changed RUMped and ContestMaker for a better WWDX RTTY support. It is now possible to swap the ctrl number order in the Cabrillo output. Load the WWDX RTTY file and see the Cabrillo tab in ContestMaker, how it works. Note the position numbers. Now you can sent and log the control numbers as required in the rules: first the state then the cq zone. The Cabrillo will write the cq zone first and after that the state. For outside NA the 'dx' will be added automatically. The Zones are not counted as multipliers for NA, RUMped can not handle three multis yet! Ignore the "New Multi" alert for the zones in NA. The Cabrillo file should be correct now.

Also it is possible now to define a control number as multi, when it is not a serial number. This is required in the CIS DX RTTY contest:
http://www.cisdx.srars.org

The latest CIS and WWDX RTTY files are located in the Plugins folder.
