Macro for ICOM 7610

Unread post by F5HFZ »

Hi All

I am using the test version of RUMlogNG with the control of the Icom 7610.
I would like to write "complex" macro for the Icom 7610, but it seems impossible to send more then one command CI-V in a macro. This is easy for the elecraft K3 ou KX3 and very handy for split pileup.
Do I miss something ?

You can put multiple commands in one macro.
What do you want to do?

Hi Tom

It is a very good news but I don’t find anywhere the syntax for the concatenation of several commands (like ; for elecraft). I tried to start a new command ( FE FE.....) after the FD of the previous command..it didn’t work ...

For exemple I would like to have a macro for a pileup in CW :

Main to sub
Sub + 1 khz
SPLIT
Dual watch
Filter 3 for main
Filter 1 for sub
Dual scope center with 2.5
etc....
I am able to program each command ...but not together in a single macro .

Any help will be really apprecied...

:-(
Hmm, Icom doesn't like commands in a fast sequence. Try this: http://dl2rum.de/RUMlogNG/RUMlogNG_Test.zip
Just separate commands by a comma like this:

Code: Select all

FE FE 98 E0 XX XX XX FD,FE FE 98 E0 YY YY YY FD

Hi TOM and All

Thanks you again Tom for the link for the new beta with 7610 Control. The "dynamic scope" is superb and really handy. I found two small bugs : no label for the macro 14, extra characters in the window of the QSY (I use a macbook pro with 10.12.6 OS).

I am now able to write a "complex macro" with 10 commands but I have to use the ASCII 44 (no comma possible in the macro editor) and to put A LOT of FE to slow down the macro (without the extra FE I have to run several times the macro).

So now everything's fine and RUMLog is perfect with the 7610.

Best 73 and thanks agn for developing RUMLog.

Opps, I'm sorry for the comma. You are right. Just wondering how I got the comma in during testing.
Try build 232 without extra FEs and use the comma between two commands: http://dl2rum.de/RUMlogNG/RUMlogNG_Test.zip

Which extra characters in the QSY box do you mean? Can you provide a screen shot?
