Re: P3/PX3 Control

Please note, you need Firmware 1.35 to get all features working and for smooth waterfall display. Thanks Tom, thats a good tip. I will probably be moving a friend from Classic to RUMlogNG when it is out of beta and on the Apple Store. Since he never updates anything on his own this would have tripp...

P3/PX3 Control

I just found the P3/PX3 Control selection in the Transceiver menu.

Very Nice!

Now, among other features, we have point and click QSY and the ability to put the A VFO cursor on the Left edge for working pile ups without having to twist the Center control.

I like it!

Re: What RTTY Program?

I have run them both together and I don't think CCM gives up much if anything in demodulating to Fldigi. What I have done, just to try to make sure I don't miss anything, is to run CCM with RUMlog for the FSK-D capabilities of the K3 and also run Fldigi on my other screen as a back up. Don't notice ...

Re: What RTTY Program?

Fledgi probably has the advantage of being under constant development and covers more modes. However, I use CCM mostly because I can have waterfalls from both my K3's VFO A and B. It's great to be able to see the DX station on one waterfall and click around in the pile-up on the second waterfall. I ...

Re: Contest Definition Files, Contest Maker

Tom,

I think that has it!

Thanks, now I will update K6OQ also and we will be ready for tomorrow.

I always enjoy showing the local contest club that there is a very good contest logger available for the Mac.

Re: Contest Definition Files, Contest Maker

I am working with the California QSO Party plugin and having a problem. First, it logs the report "599 of 59" but that is not a part of the CQP exchange. I can overcome this by editing the final log before I submit it. A little more difficult problem I am having is as an in California cont...

Re: RUMlog and Elecraft P3

Tom, This is a very interesting project you have going. I like the concept and hope you can figure out a way to overcome the communications and processor restrictions. I have it working about 75% and am already finding it useful. If I just ignore the polling going on with the bandwidth and "IF&...

Re: RUMlog 5.3.5

Tom, My numbers for CPU % closely agree with yours. On my I7 mini I run about 1% with the K3 monitor screen off. An additional 2% for each receiver. So, the maximum is about 6-7%. Not a big concern I guess. I made my comment about the "S" meter because I noticed that the lights on my USB a...

Re: RUMlog 5.3.5

Thanks for the new version Tom. RUMlog just gets better and better! I do have a couple of requests for consideration though. Reducing the load on the serial port with the K3 screen up was a welcome addition but I wonder if it could be reduced a lot more by making the "S Meter" optional. I ...
