K4 Control Window

image_0144

The CAT control of the K4 is possible via USB as well as via tcp/ip. The display of the Panadapter in RUMlog only works via the tcp/ip interface! Mixed operation is possible. The tcp/ip connection is automatically used for the pan adapter. The corresponding address and port 9200 (K4 default) must always be selected in the TRX settings. The status of the tcp/ip connection is logged in the network window.
Use of the RC-28 controller is supported.

Coloured bubbles in the buttons

Many buttons show a coloured bubble to indicate the status.

Second function

Some buttons have two functions. The second function is activated with a long click. These buttons can be recognized by a period (.) on the left side. In most cases, the corresponding function is switched on or off with a simple click. A longer click opens another control element for further options.

Frequency Readout

The frequency display for VFO A/B is clickable with the mouse. This allows you to quickly change the VFO frequency by the corresponding digit. Click the top half to increase the frequency, click the bottom half to decrease the frequency.

Shortcuts

Some keys are assigned shortcuts that are only valid when the window is active:

Macros

The macros and the labels can be changed using the Edit button. In addition, 4 macros are available, which are called up automatically when changing the operating mode.

Mini Control

The control windows offer many possibilities, but require a lot of space on the screen. In the Transceiver menu you will find the Mini Control option. This opens a small window that allows all controls, only one more mouse click is required. This allows you to leave the control window on another screen, reduce it or minimize it.
